birthday, garden bench and worms!

The grand kids took turns helping Poppa dig, pull and cut the roots of the dead bush. Huddy was thrilled to find earth worms and is making a home for them in the tub. It wasn't long after finding the worms that Steven called to Hudson, " I found a lizard for you son" It was a good day for Huddy and his creatures!


Poppa Jo-g always has a project activity up his sleeve. We all were helping Steven with some spring clean up in the yard. He wanted a couple of dead bushes removed. The grand kids just love helping Poppa with projects. It is a joy for Jerry!


Christy and her Dad went to a few Yard sales one morning. I stayed home with Faith and Huddy to make breakfast! Faith and Grace are really good cooks and enjoy making food for their family. Christy, Grace and Aiden walked in with this child's bench for my garden!! What a beautiful gift. It looks so nice in my back yard. My birthday theme was "garden". New garden gloves, tools and green vanilla Yankee candle. The best part was being with family.


"Happy Birthday Momma Jo-g" As Aiden said, "Now you're 60!" Christy made my favorite fruit pizza. Grace made an "m" from the pineapple and decorated it all with delicious fruit!


My grand children saved their own money and went to a gift shop. When they saw this sweet humming bird they wanted to get it for my birthday. A few months before Jerry and I were teaching in their home school. We talked about the hummer and the character qualities. Put up a humming bird feeder. This little bird is such a sweet expression from them to me. What a joy and blessing to be Momma Jo-g to all 6 of my grand children.



Everyone was so impressed that Jerry made this 'life scrape book' of the two of us. Several of our dating photos, engagement and marriage. The 'before and after' years were especially fun for the grandchildren to see. I think the one photo that brought the house down was one of me and my old boyfriend. Of course the grand kids wanted to know why, when, then what. (Jerry wanted to show them what God spared me from) Just love my husband so much!!!
