Christmas

It's the most wonderful time of the year! For me, it is the "remembering". This year I decorated the tree with Christmas music and thankfulness. Thanking God for another year to celebrate HIS only son's birth. For family, friends and the joy of laughter.

I have several favorite Christmas ornaments, but this year I especially enjoyed one particular bulb. We got this Christmas bulb in Frankenmuth, MI at Bronners. On the bulb is the song title: I love to tell the Story, on the other side is a little about the author of that song. As I hung it on a branch I was reminded of the times lately that we have had to share the story of the birth of God's son. It is a message that never grows old and is a joy to share each time.

One of my favorite memories of my childhood Christmas is this Styrofoam snowman. He is really old and every year sat in the bay window of my grandparents home in Oak Harbor, Ohio. My sister and I would play with the little guy and each year he would be back in the bay window for another Christmas. He now sets on my shelf with my winter bears. It's so nice to have a small piece of the Christmas past!
