Anticipation!!

Anticipation:

* an expectation - anticipating with confidence of fulfillment!

This is my feeling these past weeks. It is with a confidence in God that the expectation of seeing my children and grandchildren will soon be fulfilled.

*being enthusiastic in considering some expected or longed for good event!

Enthusiastic??? Oh yes! I am probably more enthused about seeing my children and grandchildren than they are!!!
Yes, this event has been a longing of my heart. I think we talk about "the next time the kids come to visit" every week and all year long.

*the period of planning and preparing an application that precedes designation. Investment may occur during the anticipation.

I think my planning period started last January! The investment of our days, weeks, and months has been a matter of prayer for the anticipated time. We pray for our children and grandchildren every day. Each one is so special, so unique, so precious to us. Each one is a huge blessing from God. Each one has been a joy and delight to us.

*the early sounding of one or more tones of a succeeding chord to form a temporary dissonance

We love to hear the "early sounds" of our grandchildren. Each voice; whether singing, screaming, laughing, giggling, reading or talking is just one chord in the music of our home when we are together. We love to hear them all sing ... each has a style unique to him/her. We love to hear them "read" the pictures of their books, or "tell" a make-up story. (such creativity is so fun to watch!) Then once in awhile we hear the chords coming from our children, (the parents!) Often they "encourage" these young voices, sometimes they direct their voices to a more melodious tone. Even the times of "change your attitude (opps - I mean song style) that come from our children toward our grandchildren are the correcting chords that we know are the right chords at that time. After all, we had to change chords once or twice too.

*a visualization of a wonderful future event

We both are "anticipating" a great time when our children and grandchildren come to visit! Could life get any better than this ....... we submit it does not!! (B.R.)
We don't "plan" each day down to the hour, but have on the back burner some "hey, do you all want to go" events. Of Course, we want Jonathan to go out for coffee with friends, and we want Steven and Christy to go on a date night and let us care for: Grace, Faith, Aiden, and Hudson. We also want Nate and Christina to go on a date night and let us care for: Connor and Megan. Could it possibly be on the same night and we could have all six grandchildren together to play for one whole night?????
Oh, I may be writing a new post about another event to be anticipated!!

I am so glad you will see your grandkids soon. I love having all of mine together too. Kerri is getting to move closer and will soon be only 1 hour away instead of 8 and Kelli is expecting #4 in June. I can't wait to get everyone together at Christmas. We are celebrating on the 23rd this year. Hope you have a very "Merry Christmas". - Allen and Marlene
