As we left Florida, our hearts were filled with the love of good friends. So thankful God allowed us to serve Him in Venice and Englewood for 3 1/2 years. But as God closed this chapter, we were joyfully anticipating the new road that was yet to be. We are now 10 days into this new chapter and loving it!!!! We are near my family now and it has been a real joy! Our 'little house in the hills' is just what we needed. It is perfect for the two of us, and yet we have space for the kids and grandkids when they come. The changing leaves are beautiful and something I forgot about in Fl. When we drive home from church we can see the mountains full of color. It is spectacular!
We know God was in this move. At almost every turn our land lord, Craig has been a blessing! We have an older home with all new interior and exterior. So it seems brand new to me. How thankful we are for Craig's friendship and his help to us. God has once again put His children in our path to be a blessing to us as He has done so often in 35 years.
Although our house is small, we extend a big welcome! Here was our Moving Day process:

This is what we looked liked as we left Florida! Praise God for a safe trip. So thankful Nate could help us with this move. (thanks Christina, Ace and Meg for giving up your man)

"Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil" Why are you guys laughing?

Like Father, like sons! Aren't they so innocent looking? Okay guys, let's finish packing for tonight so we can cooze in the hot tub.

With the packing coming to a finish, the boys were goofing-off (as usual) They put a hat on Dad, and Jonathan was 'faking' a punch at Nate. Did you hear about Jonathan's black eye, again??? Maybe that is the reason for this fake punch!!

"Hey Dad, you gonna keep this cowboy hat?"

Before the carpets were cleaned, Jerry was cleaning! This man is a driven man! He's on a mission here and will not stop until the job is done and done as perfect as he can do it! Both our sons said there wasn't a speck of dirt or dust in the house when we were finished!! They were right.

Our son Jonathan came up from Marco Island to help. He and our friend John Vasconcellos helped to pack the truck. John's wife Pat helped me inside with the final cleaning. Our son Nate flew down from Detroit to help us pack the truck and drive the truck to Greenville. The boys talked with their sister Christy on packing day! We are so grateful that our sons could help. Jerry was thrilled to have his boys home to help!!

Here we are! Our little house in the hills of Greenville. The trees are golden, orange, red and beautiful now. Our little house is dedicated to God and we hope it will be a blessing to all who enter.

So glad to hear you got settled in. Hope you don't miss the warm weather in Florida too much. Hopefully you will get to see your grandkids more often there. I keep telling Allen I would like to "downsize", but I don't know where I would start with all the junk we have accumulated!! Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Allen and Marlene
